I have been married to Rita J. Palmer, a lifetime resident of
North Canton for fourteen years. Rita is a 1967 graduate of
Hoover High School and holds a bachelor’s degree from Walsh
College, a master's degree from Miami University in English, and
a master's degree from Ashland University in Educational
Administration. Rita has taught in the North Canton City School
system for 31 years.
I have two sons from an earlier marriage. My older son,
Charles III, resides in Las Vegas, Nevada, and works as a
customer service representative for ADT. Charles is a 1997
graduate of the University of Southern Maine and his major was
Political Science. My younger son, Jason, graduated from the
University of Maine in 1998 with a bachelor's degree in agriculture. Jason is
employed by Cornell University in Geneva, New York, and is also
working part-time on his master's degree at Cornell University.
